In 2019, startup Visos is building the training tools of the future by utilizing VR technology.
Matt Shumer, sophomore at Syracuse University, CEO, and Founder of Visos-a next generation VR technology company-has always been an entrepreneur. From a young age Shumer has always been obsessed and driven by an incredible entrepreneurial passion. At age 12 he explored the endless possibilities of drop shipping and at age 2015 he started his own tennis racket company. Every turn around the alley when he was told that he couldn’t do x,y,z, he simply broke the rules and made his own. Now he’s continuing his ambitious goals to the world via revolutionizing the next generation of VR technology.
The Oculus Rift has been at the forefront of providing the realities of a virtual reality gaming experience. However what Matt intends to do at Visos with VR technology is to totally reinvent its uses from just gaming to fully fledged enterprise training equipment. Visos VR technology aims to enable companies with the opportunities of training employees “faster and more efficiently”. In work associated with high-risk environments, it can also be used to “improve safety”. The possibilities are endless. Visos today is creating the machines that will train the future of tomorrow.
So far Shumer and his company are doing well. Just recently Visos has been chosen as one of seven startups to be part of 2019 TechStars’ student entrepreneur cohort, LaunchPad Lift. In addition to having the great opportunity of being able to network with large and small organizations alike, Visos is currently up to learning and improving essential skills at LaunchPad Lift in order to build the tools of the future.
